He unfortunately got hit by Gsave.
"Hi, I downloaded a YouTube video through ClipConverter which I used long time ago without a problem. After obtaining the video, I keep getting prompted to download the video again dozens of times until it shuts off my laptop probably due to so much processing. It even saves a file on my desktop every time it prompted without my permission. I got rid of it. The thing comes back the next day during startup and the laptop shuts off immediately after when I was sure I got rid of it completely yesterday. Then were these ads that showed up on Youtube and Google "by gsave" .These never existed right before I went to ClipConverter. I believe this is spyware since they come back even when I deleted them."
